    So, I’m inconsistent…

    By philip | August 16, 2008

… then let me be inconsistent! Sorry for the sporadic writing. I PROMISE once this month is over, my Monday posts will resume, and perhaps they will become even more frequent.

For the time, I just want to say how hard it is sometimes to keep my head up in this world. There are so many forces trying to bring us down… wars, hunger, terror, politics, poverty, frustration, the perils of love, the judgments of our friends and family and (worse!) our selves… it’s almost too much.

That is why I write these blog posts. Not because I think I know the best thing to do in these hard times, or that I am happy all the time (god knows I’m not). The videos, music, thoughts, wishes, and little prayers I offer here are just footholds I cling to on my toughest days, and I offer them to you in peace and love and hope that at some point - at a weak moment- someone will read and grab hold.

So, in your dark hour, I hope someone (perhaps me) can be there to restore your faith, hold your hand, and keep you on the path of joyful living.

Namaste, friends. Keep smiling, and keep hoping for the best.

    Hope is our only hope.

      My dear friend,
This journey is not too far,
The way is not too steep.

At this moment it may seem a long and difficult path
But this one small step, this one breath,
These we can take together with joy and ease

      My dear friend,
Because you are smiling, I, too, can smile.
Because you have taken one step forward on the path,
      I, too, can go forward.

Thank you for your courage and presence
Thank you for shining out your life as the way.
