    make it happen.

    By philip | September 15, 2008

When climbing rocks, even the smallest nugget of granite sticking out from a flat vertical service will hold your weight. You won’t slip, you won’t fall, but there is a catch…

…if you hold back even an ounce of your weight, there won’t be enough friction created between you and the rock and you will fall.

See, rocks are simple things that conform to the laws of physics and nature. The only force they can exert is the force you exert on them. Kinda like our dreams. They conform to laws of nature too. The only force they will ever have is the force we are willing to invest in them. If we hold back even an ounce of our passion from them - if we lose focus or doubt for even a moment - we will not be able to hold on.

And it’s not that the dream is too hard or unrealistic or silly, either.

Even the smallest nugget of hope that a dream might come true is enough to support us if we commit ourselves fully to it, damn the odds.

    Make it happen, dude.

Whatever it is, you can do it!
